Garry E. Nelson passed away at 2:12 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He was born on Dec. 18, 1929, in Colchester, to Carl Nelson and Beatrice Vawter.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones’ Mortuary in Colchester, with Rev. Michael Deblois officiating. Following the memorial service, a military service will be conducted by Macomb VFW and Macomb American Legion. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Colchester Veterans Memorial.
